Who We Are

Flockx helps businesses turn their photos, products and stories into scroll-stopping videos, social content and campaigns, without an agency budget or a production crew. From hotels and restaurants to local shops and growing brands, we help businesses of every size get discovered and grow everywhere their customers are scrolling. We believe every business with a great story deserves to be seen. We're a lean, fully remote team of engineers, designers, creators and storytellers and we love investing in emerging talent who want to grow with us.

The Role

We’re looking for a part-time, seasonal Junior Video Creator & Editor to help produce commercial video content using the latest AI video generation and editing tools. You’ll work with our creative team to turn scripts, concepts, and storyboards into polished short-form content for social media and marketing. This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll generate AI footage, experiment with shots and styles, edit clips together, and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Core Responsibilities

  • Generate AI video and image assets using tools such as Veo, Sora, Seedance, Kling, Runway, and similar platforms.
  • Create shots from scripts, storyboards, and creative direction.
  • Experiment with camera angles, movement, composition, and visual styles.
  • Select and refine the strongest generations, keeping products and visuals consistent.
  • Edit footage into short-form commercials and social content, including cuts, pacing, transitions, and sound.
  • Deliver versions for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Keep project files, footage, and generations organized.

Qualifications

Who you are

You’re highly visual, curious, and hands-on. You don’t need years of professional experience, but you should already be comfortable with AI video tools and editing software, and ready to contribute from week one. You’re the kind of person who will happily generate 20 versions of a shot to get the one that’s right.

  • Open to feedback, and comfortable taking creative direction.
  • Organized and reliable, with the ability to manage your own time.
  • A clear communicator who asks questions early and shares work in progress.
  • Comfortable working asynchronously with a fully remote team across U.S. time zones.
  • Cares about local businesses and the people who run them.

Must-have skills

  • Hands-on experience creating AI-generated video with tools such as Veo, Sora, Kling, or Runway, through school, personal projects, or freelance work.
  • Solid video editing skills in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
  • A portfolio or showreel demonstrating your work.
  • A good eye for composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Educational background

Currently studying, or completed studies, in any of the following is useful:

  • Film / Video Production
  • Digital Media / Media Arts
  • Motion Design
  • Animation
  • Visual Effects (VFX)
  • Graphic Design

Education: Studying or trained in film, digital media, animation, VFX, motion, or graphic design is useful. Formal education isn’t required if you can show us what you can make.

Nice to have: After Effects or motion graphics, photography, color grading or sound design, social media content creation, and familiarity with multiple AI video platforms.

Compensation: Will be determined based on experience and qualifications. To be discussed during the interview process.

What to Expect

This role is built for someone who can hit the ground running. You’ll spend most of the season on real work that makes an impact on the business. You’ll have weekly check-ins with your team lead throughout, and you’ll be able to feature approved work in your portfolio. A portfolio or showreel is required; you’ll be asked to share it in the application.
