Join our team at Pine Rest’s Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to supporting children and their families. The center features sensory rooms, a specialized therapy gym, therapeutic kitchen, art and activity spaces, an education lab, and family-focused amenities.

What You’ll Do

As a Behavioral Technician (official title: Psychiatric Technician), you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, hands-on care to children receiving behavioral health services.

You will:

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
  • Provide emotional and physical support to children
  • Assist with daily living and personal care needs, when needed
  • Support treatment plans, therapeutic activities, and individual goals
  • Participate in crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation
  • Teach and reinforce coping, behavioral, social, and daily living skills
  • Observe, document, and communicate changes or concerns
  • Assist with activities, appointments, and other program needs
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff and families

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of post-high school education in behavioral sciences preferred
  • CNA certification or 1–2 years of college education preferred
  • Compassionate and comfortable working directly with children experiencing behavioral or mental health needs
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Schedule

  • Onsite position
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required
