Schedule

Part-Time | 12-Hour Shifts

  • Week 1: 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
  • Week 2: 11:30 AM to 12:00 Midnight
  • Schedule Rotation:
    • Week 1: Sunday & Thursday
    • Week 2: Thursday & Saturday
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required

Candidate must be able to pass a Child Protective Services (CPS) clearance.

About the Lotus Unit

Lotus is a secure residential treatment program serving at-risk youth ages 11-17. The program provides intensive community transition services focused on psychiatric stabilization, emotional regulation, and independent living skills. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy building long-term therapeutic relationships and working with greater autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Deliver and coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary teams
  • Administer medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Support discharge and aftercare planning
  • Monitor patient safety and respond to crises
  • Participate in de-escalation and behavioral health interventions
  • Serve as a clinical resource and leader for team members
  • Promote person-centered, recovery-focused care

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience

Additional Information

  • Pay based on education and experience
  • Hourly, non-exempt position
  • Physically active role that includes standing, walking, lifting, and responding to crisis situations
