Cheesemonger & Warehouse Tsar

This role combines behind-the-scenes shop operations with farmers market cheesemonger work. Most of your time will be spent in the shop, with regular responsibility for running a farmers’ market on weekends.

This is a small, owner-led environment. You’ll often work independently or with a small team. You’ll be trusted to manage your time, stay on task, and follow through without constant supervision.

You’ll be trained in how we handle, process, and care for our specialty cheese, as well as how we operate at farmers markets. We’re looking for someone coachable, reliable, and willing to take ownership of their role.

The work is hands-on, physical, and detail oriented. It also requires the ability to engage with customers, stay steady in busy environments, and represent the business well.

Quality, consistency, and reliability matter more than anything.

What you’ll be doing

• Processing, cutting, wrapping, and labeling cheese
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory in the warehouse and cooler
  • Packing product and supplies for markets
  • Keeping the workspace clean, organized, and food-safe
  • Operating a farmers market independently
  • Cutting, sampling, and recommending cheese to customers
  • Handling cash and Square POS transactions
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting product and equipment
  • Occasional driving for cheese-related runs

This is a physical role. You’ll be on your feet most of the day and regularly lifting 50+ pounds.
