Die Repairman - 2nd Shift

We are seeking an experienced Die Repairman for our Grand Rapids, MI. location with a patient, friendly, and positive attitude.  The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials.

Primary responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on metal stamping dies.
• Aid with tooling adjustments as needed to ensure part quality standards are maintained.

• Implement effective short/long term solutions to problematic conditions.
• Must be able to complete projects in a timely manner free from defect.
• Must be an effective trouble shooter with an eye for detail.
• General computer skills needed to document work performed.
• Safety oriented and compliant with Safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, equivalent education.
• Have a Journeyman Card in Tool & Die Repair or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities from working in the trade a minimum of 5 years.
• Must be a team player with good communication skills.
• Approachable, patient, and team oriented.
• Proficient using mill, lathe, drill, saws, crane and surface grinders.
• Must be a self-starter who can work without direct Supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints, Knowledge of GDT a Plus.
