ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: The Technical Project Manager is a member of the RecogNation Development team, contributing to data-driven solutions through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative information. This role will work as a coordinator to support the day-to-day rhythm of the Product and Engineering teams by keeping the workflow organized, priorities clear, and execution running smoothly. This role sits at the center of how work moves through RecogNation’s development process — helping translate ideas into actionable tickets, coordinating sprint and PI planning, organizing insights from across the business, and keeping support requests flowing to the right people at the right time. The Technical Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Customer Service, IT, Sales, and others—to ensure data integrity and deliver actionable insights that drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate has strong organizational instincts, enjoys connecting dots across teams, and brings a structured, detail-oriented approach to supporting product delivery. You won’t be responsible for product strategy, but you will play a critical role in ensuring strategy becomes clear, well-defined work that the team can execute confidently. This role requires regular and predictable on-site presence at our Grand Rapids, MI, location.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support sprint planning, PI planning, and team coordination by preparing agendas, capturing decisions, and ensuring next steps are clear and documented.
- Write, refine, and maintain Jira tickets with well-structured requirements, acceptance criteria, and supporting context.
- Track work progress across Product and Engineering and help remove blockers by surfacing questions, missing inputs, or needed decisions.
- Organize and maintain product documentation in Confluence, ensuring decisions, requirements, and project histories remain accessible.
- Triage and route support tickets to the appropriate teams, ensuring requests contain sufficient detail before work begins.
- Identify recurring issues or patterns in support tickets and surface insights that may inform future product improvements.
- Capture notes, follow-ups, and action items from leadership conversations, customer advisory groups, Program Manager input, and internal discussions.
- Maintain structured repositories of insights, research, and customer feedback to support planning and roadmap discussions.
- Assist in light discovery work, including gathering problem statements, clarifying success metrics, and identifying missing inputs.
- Support development rhythm by preparing materials for sprint reviews, roadmap updates, and cross-team communications.
- Maintain visibility into priorities, dependencies, and timelines to help keep teams aligned and focused.
- Improve workflow consistency by identifying small process refinements that increase clarity, reduce rework, or improve execution predictability.
- Serve as a connector between Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support to ensure smooth handoffs and shared understanding.
- Analyze data to identify trends or relationships among variables and translate findings into practical recommendations
- Prepare and develop comprehensive analytic reports that summarize findings; including supporting visuals, dashboards, and charts
- Assess data inputs and outputs for potential impacts on workflows, system performance, or strategic business initiatives
- Evaluate data quality by monitoring, validating and cleansing data to ensure accuracy & consistency
- Present insights and recommendations with stakeholders through presentations, meetings, and collaborative discussions
IDEAL CANDIDATE TRAITS:
- Strong organizational habits and attention to detail; you naturally bring structure to moving parts.
- Comfortable working in an office environment, with prolonged computer use and a need for sustained focus.

- Naturally curious and willing to ask clarifying questions when things are ambiguous or incomplete.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to collect, interpret, and present quantitative data clearly.
- Familiarity with reporting tools and a willingness to learn AI/automation solutions.
