About This Role
Are you a dynamic, trustworthy, and tenacious operations guru who is calm amidst chaos, decisive in uncertainty, and loves to drive results behind the scenes? Have you led teams, fixed broken systems, balanced budgets, and still had time to spot the fires before they burned the place down? If so, let's talk about our Director of Operations role, which reports directly to Kim. The person in this role will be a key decision-maker, protector of our agency's integrity, and a problem solver who works in lockstep with Kim to run the agency while Kim builds the brand.
- Bring 7+ years of management experience in a fast-paced services business to manage operations, lead our team, oversee client delivery, and keep all the moving parts from crashing into each other.
- Be a strong communicator with high EQ, have unshakable follow-through, and be comfortable managing up, across, and down to enable a culture of sustainable excellence, prevent burnout, drive accountability with empathy, and manage, motivate, and mentor a team of 6-8 across PR, digital and our newest venture, 8THIRTYFOUR Schools - program development, elearning and coaching.
- Be able to see the big picture, translate Kim's vision to action, and dig into the details to streamline and standardize workflows, create standard operating procedures, build scalable processes, and analyze data to track agency KPIs around utilization, margin, and team capacity.
- Use your knowledge of agency or client services to manage workloads, timelines, and deadlines to ensure top-notch delivery across all accounts, monitor client satisfaction and scope creep, and solve client issues before they escalate.
- Enjoy wearing many hats in a small business environment, have some knowledge of EOS-style structure and Level 10 accountability, and be comfortable leading team meetings, metrics reviews, and strategic planning sessions
- Leverage your superb technology skills to own, integrate, and optimize our tools - project management software, EOS, QuickBooks Online and more.
