Community West Credit Union is seeking a Credit Card Servicing Specialist for our Lending Team at our Kentwood branch location and occasionally working hybrid. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to grow and learn, we want to talk to you! The starting pay for a Credit Card Servicing Specialist position is $19.50 an hour, paid bi-weekly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Oversee all credit card functions, serving as the organization’s subject matter expert for credit card operations. Provide administrative support to the Direct Lending, Indirect Lending, Mortgage, and Loan Servicing departments.

  • Responsible for overseeing all credit card functions including the creation, managing, and closing credit card accounts. 
  • Answer member and employee questions about credit card transactions and payments. 
  • Post credit card adjustments and fee reversals. Track card updates for new card activation, transfer balances, and close previous accounts.
  • Manage credit card status updates including reporting lost, stolen, or closed cards and facilitate card reorders.
  • Provide administrative support to the Direct Lending, Indirect Lending, Mortgage, and Loan Servicing departments.
  • Audit indirect and pre-audit direct loan files, create and email approved lien termination requests as requested.
  • Print loan coupons, indirect loan coupons, and mortgage/home equity coupons as requested.
  • Answer questions regarding lien releases, loan payments/payoffs, tax and insurance requirements, and debit protection claims.
  • Assist with GAP reports; work with mortgage withdrawn and denied files to review, update status, and input HMDA information.

 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US

Requirements
  • A.A. Degree in business or related degree, or 1 year of financial institution experience, preferably in lending or card services, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Good problem-solving skills are required and the ability to understand and efficiently use a computer. 
  • Must have basic knowledge of Word and Excel. 
  • Basic math skills and experience with a calculator are helpful. 
  • Have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills and remain calm in high pressure situations.
  • Need to be able to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time well. 
  • Must be self-motivated. Project a positive and professional image.
