Community West Credit Union is looking for a people person as a Contact Center Agent I to add to our Kentwood branch team, for onsite and remote work (if desired) at the completion of training. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, helping people solve problems and improve their finances, where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to grow and learn, we want to talk to you! The starting pay for this position is $18 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

  • Full-time | M - F | 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM | 40 hours weekly

WHAT WILL YOU DO

A Contact Center Agent answers member questions by phone, chat, and email regarding accounts, payments, products, and services, in a prompt and courteous manner. Agents handle a wide variety of member service requests using GOLD/CBX, a CU Answers system, and an internal CWCU wiki, our quick reference tool.

  • You can expect one week of onboarding and orientation, followed by up to 8 weeks of full-time in-person training at our beautiful new Kentwood office. When you are ready, you will then have the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule (if desired).
  • You will be trained through in-person and online learning and will meet with your manager weekly, then monthly to develop and achieve personal and professional goals.

Requirements
  • High School diploma, good problem solving, and basic math skills.
  • Comfort in the efficient use of a computer, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent listening skills, and ability to remain calm in a high-pressure, high-volume contact center.
  • Verbal and written communication skills that project a positive and professional image.
