JOB SUMMARY

The Business Intelligent Developer primarily focuses on transforming healthcare data into actionable insights supporting enhancing the quality of care while decreasing cost. Provides understanding of complex claims and clinical data on behalf of Answer Health by creating analytical dashboards to meet the needs of various audiences including executive leadership and physicians. Accountable for analysis and dissemination of performance data for Answer Health and partner organizations. Monitors organizational interfaces, data flow, and performance metrics. Oversees the use and maintenance of Answer Health technologies used for reporting and information sharing. Acts as a resource and subject matter expert for practices to support the use of Answer Health reporting tools and technology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Collect and analyze data to identify trends and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
  2. Design and develop business intelligence solutions, including data warehouses, reporting systems, and dashboards.
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure reporting needs are met supporting Answer Health performance under contracts, specifically, through data visualization and dashboard development.
  4. Monitor performance through tracking of key metrics.
  5. Manage and maintain Answer Health technologies used to communicate information and disseminate data.
  6. Provide technical support to Answer Health member practices using network technologies and reporting tools.
  7. Participate in team meetings and projects in support of process and performance improvement.

Skills and abilities:

  1. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  2. Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with database management.
  3. Proficiency in data visualization tools and best practices (e.g., MS Power BI, Tableau).
  4. Proficient with database management, data processing, data warehousing, integration of disparate data sources, and/or electronic health records.
  5. Ability to work autonomously, with strong time management, priority setting, and organizational skills.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to function effectively in a fluid, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment.
  8. Ability to develop positive, longitudinal relationships with practice managers and providers.

Physical Effort:  The job includes limited physical demands, typical of the job that include regular walking, standing, bending, sitting, typing, use of phone, and some lifting of light weight objects.

Mental & Visual Fatigue:  Work may produce mental/visual fatigue. Detailed, interactive work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time; operation and full attention to a computer.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND CERTIFICATION

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of five years of healthcare experience
  2. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, information technology, computer science, data science, or other related field.

Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Previous experience with third party payer claims and programs, including PCMH, HEDIS, risk, etc.
  • Previous experience working with a provider network, Physician Organization, Physician-Hospital Organization, Independent Practice Association, or health insurance organization.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulation and compliance requirements.
