We are searching for a proactive, reliable Financial Planner to support the advisory team while providing quality customer service to our clients. You will get the opportunity to communicate directly with clients and meet with them alongside our advisors. In this role, you will learn from a cohesive team of professionals. We will train, mentor, and coach you as you build your financial acumen, develop your skills, and establish a successful career. This position has the potential for growth into an advisory role but does not initially involve any sales.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Utilize your strong attention to details and analytical skills to assist Wealth Advisors in preparing for client meetings
- Have a strong understanding of financial markets and investments to build, analyze, and update clients' financial plans
- Build strong relationships and communicate complex financial topics clearly and effectively to clients during review meetings and take notes to ensure accurate follow-up
- Balance multiple priorities simultaneously, accommodating unexpected requests or needs, and following through while analyzing client portfolios and draft investment recommendations
- Utilize your entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and grow by completing administrative tasks such as opening and transferring client accounts while taking on more complex tasks
- Assist in establishing and maintaining client files and CRM records to document all tasks properly.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field
- At least three (3) years of relevant investment and financial advisory experience preferred.
- CFP preferred or substantial progress towards completing the designation
- Registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the state of Michigan or able to become registered within the first six months.
- Experience with financial and tax planning software (MoneyGuidePro/Holistiplan, or similar), trading software, etc.
- Experience working with a custodian like Charles Schwab
