Project Manager

About the Position:

The FALK Project Manager is responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and overall project management tasks via customer communications, construction document review with understanding, and adherence to the Falk standard processes ensuring the utmost customer service through project completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Heavy customer communication via phone, email, Teams, and in-person meetings to ensure accurate scope of work, detailing, budget, and schedule for each project assigned.
  • Initiate shop drawing creation with drafting/detailing teams by issuing work orders, emails, and verbal communication to clearly relay scope of work.
  • Create unique project details in AutoCAD when necessary.
  • Audit shop drawings to ensure scope of work, confirm dimensions, material attributes, standard detailing, and bill of materials are accurate upon completion of shop drawings prior to customer submittal.
  • Complete management of the submittal process – Qualify Pre-Sales Production.
  • Production file creation upon approval for manufacturing and correct sequencing of material (CSVs).
  • Keeping projects on schedule.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Department to relay timelines and acknowledgments via email and phone.
  • Work closely with Sales Team members for complete understanding of customer expectations.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service Department to capture all change orders and keep record of project timelines.
  • Expert level status of product attributes and components.
  • Work closely and communicate with other departments as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by Falk management as required.
  • Participate in teaming initiatives to develop collateral and processes for overall continuous improvement.

Education/Experience:

  • University or Technical degree
  • 3-5 years related work experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Construction Project Management experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to create unique trim and flashing details in AutoCAD.
  • Previous experience in pre-engineered metal building construction or design is a plus.
  • Advanced communication and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and problem solve with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.
