About the role:
We are seeking a high performing, tenacious, and team oriented Human Resources Manager who is eager to make their mark on an organization that believes people are the key to our success. In this role, you'll provide guidance to the leadership team on the "people" matters, while also being a hands-on "doer" to execute all of the moving parts of the human resources function for our 85-person organization. Our highly engaged management team partners with human resources so that together we can ensure Pella continues to be a rewarding and fun place to work. This role is perfect for a disciplined and driven HR professional who enjoys building cross functional partnerships and is looking for a place to call home. This role reports to the General Manager, and in it you will:
Use your 7+ years of human resources experience to manage all aspects of human resources and the employee lifecycle for all Michigan locations including recruiting, onboarding, compensation & benefits administration, employee performance & development, DOT & Safety, HR compliance and all things related to culture & employee engagement.
Use your Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, and relevant Human Resources certification to ensure HR compliance and stay abreast of laws and regulations including but not limited to Title VII, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, FLSA, etc.
Use your strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate with management on human resources matters, analyze trends, and provide insights and recommendations in alignment with company goals
Build trust and rapport while providing resources for all managers and employees on a variety of topics such as policy interpretation, unemployment, leaves of absences, workers' compensation, corrective actions, investigations, performance improvement plans, etc.
Cultivate an engaging candidate experience by managing the full cycle recruiting process by identifying talent, interviewing, extending offers and facilitating an engaging onboarding processes for new hires.
Partner with leaders at all levels to drive the learning and development, succession planning, career development and performance management process that helps staff develop in their careers and engages all managers in assessing gaps and developing key talent.
Establish partnerships throughout the organization by being an effective listener and problem solver of people issues and taking time to get to know our employees on a personal level.
Bring a high achievement orientation and winning attitude to drive company culture through employee engagement programs and events.
