About this role:

The Human Resources Manager is a key member of our leadership team and is a driving force behind our employee-centric culture. This role is responsible for seamlessly delivering the strategic and tactical components of the human resources function. This role is ideal for you if you enjoy being a collaborative and strategic partner while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done across our three shift, 130 employee organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who will thrive as an HR department of one, loves engaging with the front line of our workforce and enjoys a team-oriented but hard-working environment. This role reports to the General Manager, with dotted line reporting to the President of the company. In this role you will:

  • Create a strategic direction for Human Resources that ensures alignment with the 3 year picture and 10 year target goals.
  • Advise leadership team on human resources matters, and provide insights and recommendations to support business objectives and drive organizational effectiveness
  • Champion company culture and values by maintaining a collaborative, blameless, inclusive, and safe environment
  • Manage all aspects of human resources and the employee lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, and separation
  • Develop, implement, and manage a new values led performance management process
  • Lead plant wide safety programming, compliance and workers compensation claims.
  • Facilitate regular employee meetings and events including all plant meetings, monthly team lunches, and other events to propel employee engagement
  • Oversee the company wellness programming and promote the importance of wellness within the workplace.
  • Compile, track, and report on human resources measurables and drive improvements through analysis of trends and metrics

About you:

  • You bring a Bachelor's degree and at least 10-years' experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You are a pro-active, self-starter who sees and initiates opportunities for improvement
  • You have demonstrated experience as a team player that drives an employee focused culture while being considerate, open-minded, enthusiastic, and responsible
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are comfortable contributing your voice to partner with a leadership team as a trusted HR advisor
  • You are driven, have strong judgment, and enjoy bringing people and processes together to work towards better organizational outcomes
  • You thrive in a diverse, multi-lingual work environment, embrace inclusion and preferably are bi-lingual in English along with Spanish or Karen
  • You hold a SHRM, HRCI, or other relevant Human Resources certification and are well versed in all HR compliance requirements including but not limited to Title VII, COBRA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, FLSA, etc.
