Who You Are:

We are seeking a Staff Accountant that will serve as a key contributor to the organization by efficiently and effectively managing the accounting and financial functions. This is an onsite role that is critical to the success of our business operations. What You'll Do:

In this role you will:

  • Utilize your Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration along with your 3+ years of experience to connect the business operations with the financials
  • Apply your expertise in QuickBooks to maintain and record all accounts payable and accounts receivables including: coding and entering invoices, bills, customer cash receipts, purchase orders, travel vouchers, vendor bills, credit card transactions and other financial data
  • Maintain the general ledger, prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, P&L statements and reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts and other financial accounts
  • Collaborate with outside auditors and gather the necessary information for the annual audit
  • Use your analytical and problem solving mindset to proactively identify issues within QuickBooks and work quickly to correct
  • Be system minded by managing the purchasing and invoicing systems and recommends updates and enhancements to the accounting system
  • Collaborate with the management team and other team members to ensure the accuracy and integrity of project financials
  • Build close relationships with leadership team, managers and outside vendors to become a trusted advisor who highlights risks, spots opportunities, and suggests solutions that create value for our customers
  • Maintain confidentiality of information as it relates to colleagues, customers, and suppliers
  • Jump in and be a helping hand in the office as a part of the administration team which includes greeting visitors to the office, helping answer incoming phone calls, and distributing mail and packages
