We are searching for a “hands-on” and passionate leader to join our team as the Global Procurement and Supply Chain Director. In this position, you’ll work closely with senior company leaders and cross-functional teams to develop innovative procurement solutions for products, services, and core business processes for our diverse clientele. Your active participation in all supply chain activities, combined with your strategic thinking, will be pivotal in propelling our organization to success and in shaping the enhancement, implementation, and continuity of our sourcing, inventory management, and logistic capabilities.

 

 

What you will do:

  • Set overall procurement strategy and implement processes that meet and exceed customer requirements and expectations
  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams including our Domestic Sourcing/Procurement Team and Overseas Sourcing Team
  • Drive continuous improvement and professional development planning for all direct reports
  • Optimize resource management and inventory processes to drive collaborative inventory management
  • Develop and enhance global sourcing and risk management strategies to improve supply chain reliability, agility, flexibility/speed-to-market, and product quality
  • Improve and drive performance metrics for all procurement and replenishment activities and ensure overall customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strict trade compliance standards with US and International Customs authorities
  • Innovate new sourcing options for new products and services and establish supplier qualifications
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales and operations for effective product lifecycle management

 

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of global supply chain and procurement experience
  • Demonstrated success in Asia/China procurement
  • Experience in consumer goods manufacturing, preferably architectural or home décor products
  • Prior experience utilizing global sourcing tools such as Panjiva, Alibaba, Thomasnet, and related professional services
  • Working knowledge of metal forming manufacturing processes and metal alloy finishing processes and methods
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, JD Edwards ERP Suite preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement best practices and tools
  • CSCMP/APICS certifications preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Skilled negotiator with a focus on positive outcomes
